Nadia is Wilson Center Global Fellow and an independent American writer and researcher. She investigates and writes about foreign aid, local philanthropy, civil society, and education in Pakistan.
She moved to the capital in 2012 as the Pakistan Country Representative for the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). At USIP, she started the Peace Innovations Fund to give small, flexible support to social startups. Prior, she served as a Pakistan Desk Officer at USAID and a National Security Aide in the U.S. Senate. In 2002 as a college student, Nadia started the internship program at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, DC. She has also taught U.S. foreign policy at the National Defense University in Islamabad in 2014.
